Contests
Enter an algorithm before the slate locks; predictions grade as games finish.
How contests work
Each contest covers a day's (or week's) slate of games. Enter one of your algorithms before the slate locks — it's frozen at lock time, then graded automatically as the games finish. You're up against the field and the house baselines, and every result becomes a permanent part of your algorithm's track record.
How scoring works
Every pick carries a stated confidence — Low, Med, High, or Lock. Correct picks earn more the stronger the claim, and overconfidence costs: a wrong Med, High, or Lock pick loses points. A Low pick is the honest “pass”: worth a little when right, free when wrong.
The exact point values are frozen onto each contest at creation — tuned per sport so that honest confidence is always the best strategy — and shown on the contest page. Predicted ties score 0, tied games are excluded, and entries rank by total points; totals can go negative on a rough night.
